Japanese hair maestro Shunji Matsuo spent many years in the profession, first as a rookie in Japan before following his dream and working with his hero/mentor Suga in New York City in 1970s. There he spent over 20 years working with celebrity clients like Lee Radziwill and Donna Karan and many advertising campaigns including those of Gianni Versace with the day’s top supermodels. He returned to Asia and somehow found his place in Singapore where he launched and planted the first seed of his successful chain of hair salons. We were first engaged to launch his coffee table book MANE MAN to commemorate his 40 years in the hair business in 2009. Then again in 2013 to launch his new preoccupation as an artist with an art exhibition ARTISTIC IMPRESSIONS by SHUNJI MATSUO at the Japan Creative Centre with the Japanese ambassador as guest-of-honour. Media coverage included the main dailies and leading magazines.
